    mad max

    マッドマックス

A pentalogy of post-apocalyptic action films set in the barren Australian outback with biker gangs, rat rods, psychotic metalhead cults and a young Mel Gibson. Consists of Mad Max (1979), Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981), Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985), Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024).

The series has become one of the most influential works of post-apocalyptic fiction. Subsequent post-apocalyptic media often borrow elements from the series, particularly its rat rod vehicle design and the tribalistic elements of each wasteland gang.
