Bunny people/clothing tags

The bulk update request #3593 (forum #173815) has been approved by @evazion.

Based on the forum feedback and the resolution of previous BURs, I propose two BURs to rename every tag related to the bunny animal to rabbit. (The ones related to Playboy bunny or specific names would remain as they are)

Bunny -> Rabbit BUR 1

Bunny -> Rabbit BUR 2
The second BUR would be aliasing these remaining tags to Rabbit versions.

I get the goal of this overall, but those are pretty much always referred to exclusively as "bunny slippers". A google search results gives you ~923,000 results for "Bunny Slippers" vs only ~80,100 for "Rabbit Slippers" (and a good chunk of those are "Bunny Rabbit Slippers").

Corrected stuffed bunny/rabbit accordingly and also the bunny slippers. I also believe if something is universally known with the "bunny" therm instead of "rabbit", it should remain as bunny.

First Bunny -> Rabbit BUR.

Basically, every tag related to the bunny animal would be renamed to rabbit for consistency with other animal tags and to differentiate from Playboy bunny related tags; as naming the animal as bunny rather than rabbit is like using kitty and doggo instead of cat and dog respectively.

If there's a tag that is universally more known for the "bunny" therm rather than rabbit (like bunny slippers), it would remain as bunny with a rabbit variation aliased (rabbit slippers).

Any feedback is very appreciated.

I don't think playboy_bunny_swimsuit exists, merely rabbit_ears + swimsuit. While playboy_bunny is mostly standardized (strapless leotard, detached collar, wrist cuffs, pantyhose, etc.), there is none for playboy_bunny_swimsuit. It's a mix of one-piece, school swimsuits and bikinis.

Except the tag was meant for many of the same kind of standardized elements (the collar, cuffs, etc., not just the ears) just with a swimsuit in place of the leotard. Why remove it with no discussion? rabbit_ears swimsuit is not an adequate search for the concept.

When I read a tag named foo_swimsuit, I assume it to mean a swimsuit with the attribute or modifier foo. I do not assume it to mean foo with the artribute or modifier swimsuit. I don't have any hard data to back this up but I feel that is the overwhelming norm, at far as English is concerned.

Thus, I interpet it as "swimsuit characteristic/typical of playboy bunnies" (which fails since no characteristic/typical swimsuit is apparent) and not "playboy bunny, except wearing a swimsuit".

There were only 35 posts, while bunny_ears swimsuit wrist_cuffs returns over 600.

I'm seeing a lot of false positives in that search. Quite a few examples are not qualified for playboy bunny swimsuit.

The wiki pretty straightforward says, "swimsuit instead of a leotard" not "swimsuit with playboy bunny charactistics."

One particular kind of false positive in such a search that might pop up are maid bikinis as in post #2904333 or the fleur de lapin uniforms adapted as bikinis. Also some potential examples of a playboy bunny swimsuit may feature other elements of the playboy bunny like detached collars and fishnets but not the cuffs as in post #3579992.

Admittedly, there is a difference between swimsuits that are more modeled on the playboy bunny outfit and those that are just a "regular" swimsuit with the features elsewhere, but excluding the latter still makes those kind of images harder to find without a complicated search.

I am wondering where nontraditional playboy bunny falls in this discussion, since it does seem there are some examples of swimsuits in there currently. I supposed that tag could be used instead to narrow it down, depending on how expansive a definition we are taking with it.

How many of the playboy_bunny costume parts ought to be present in order for playboy_bunny_leotard to apply? From the playboy_bunny wiki:

Typical tags

• Headwear: bunny ears, fake animal ears
• Neckwear: detached collar, wing collar, bowtie
• Armwear: wrist cuffs
• Torso: leotard, strapless leotard, covered navel, bunny tail, fake tail
• Legwear: pantyhose, thighhighs, fishnet legwear
• Footwear: high heels

I ask so that I can determine how to differentiate playboy_bunny_leotard from strapless_leotard. It would seem to me that the key parts ought to be a strapless_leotard plus at least one of wrist_cuffs, detached_collar, and/or bow_tie. Changing playboy_bunny_leotard to nontraditional_playboy_bunny would also eliminate the question. Thoughts?

Bunny girl has over 1000 posts despite the Wiki telling people not to use it. It's populated with a mix of both rabbit girls and playboy bunnies. Something has to be done about it. Maybe an alias?

What about, considering we garden the current tag;

alias bunny_girl_(kemono) -> rabbit_girl

Kemono seems like a bad choice of qualifier, most people probably have no idea what it actually means and just associate it with Kemono Friends
