Pointless Pools

Don't delete the missing pools. The system literally depends on them to locate images it needs to force-regenerate samples/thumbnails once a day.

Is this something Danbooru 1 did? Because I'm pretty sure Danbooru 2 doesn't do this. There were dozens of images in the pools that were only fixed after I asked Albert to do it manually, so the system wasn't doing it automatically. And I can't find anything in the code to indicate that this is done.

But in the case that I'm wrong and the system does depend on them, couldn't the system easily be changed so that it looks at the tags instead?

pool #5612 : The Cake Is a Lie

The pool description is "References to the Portal meme". Each of the five pictures in it is reachable by searching "portal cake."

Even if that wasn't so, and we specifically wanted to tag only those images that invoke the specific concept of the cake being a lie (which not even all of the five images) we have plenty of meme tags, as seen at Tag group:Meme.

A tag replacement for the pool for the meme is fine, in my opinion. Though I'm not sure how much we gain by deleting the pools for all the memes, some of which require interpretation of the picture.

I wasn't suggesting deleting the pools for all the memes, but I'm curious, which pools would you hold as an example for requiring interpretation?
