I want to make a pool for pictures that beg for continuations. Basically, it's pictures depicting something happening, but because the artists never drew continuations of them, we don't know happened next, so it's up to the viewers to imagine the results.

Good idea for a pool or not?

This is a bit off-topic, as this thread is for pointless pools. I'd suggest you make a new thread and also try to provide some examples to make it easier for people to understand the concept.

I'm inclined to say it should be generalised to swimsuit_tan or swimsuit_tanline, with the specific type of swimsuit also being tagged where it can be distinguished; I know there are plenty of images with tanlines from bikinis or male swim trunks, and a fair few that specifically indicate things like a string bikini or competition swimsuit. The only question would be, how much is there that would qualify for tanline but not swimsuit_tanline?

What would the point in generalizing it to swimsuit tanline? Like 80% of tanlines are going to be either bikinis or one-piece swimsuits, 19% males with swim trunks, and the remaining 1% other.

It seems like if we were to create one_piece_swimsuit_tan, then we'd also need to create bikini_tan, swim_trunks_tan, probably swim_briefs_tan, and possibly others if there are more specific types that are common enough - and that doesn't necessarily cover cases where we can see tanlines but don't know what sort they are (eg, post #1444905).

But as you say, tanline is 99% swimsuit tans anyway (maybe more; I couldn't find any in a quick skim that weren't), so maybe that's not really a problem. Might be worth opening a discussion thread for, though I'm too lazy to do so right now.

I would oppose generalizing it to swimsuit tanline because there aren't very many other sources of tanline images worth tagging.

Seriously, this pool really should be gone by now. The "funded" tag makes it completely pointless.

The creation of the funded tag was never discussed and is exclusively used by member level users. Only two of the items in the pool have the tag showing that neither is used responsibly so there needs to be a discussion about what level of funding it needs (5 dollars for some clay and a flash drive or production run? Do I need to be able to buy it in a store or is the artist's website acceptable?) as well as the question of how it interacts with hilarious in hindsight. (In a new thread.)

This has been brought up before, but nothing has been done.

I'm sure I said this before, but I'm saying it again: there are way too many pointless Touhou-centric pools. I'm a fan of the series, but I don't think it deserves so many character-specific pools. You might as well create random Touhou-related pools, like a pool about Eiki being lazy, Youmu fighting with her bare hands instead of her swords, Nitori being into magic instead of science, Mystia encouraging chicken consumption, etc.

If there can be lots of character-specific pools for that series, you might as well do the same for other series. Why only let Touhou characters have "Awesome <insert weapon here>" pools and such when you can let other characters from other series have the same?

Again, I'm a huge fan of Touhou, but I think the favoritism for it here has gone too far.
